In class we created color wheels to help us paint with more accuracy, paying more attention to Hue, Intensity and Value. By simply placing the color wheel on top of a color and finding the exact Hue, Intensity and Value by comparing the colors through the holes that I punched. Example of Contrasting Pictures with help from Color WheelsOrange Sunshine 1995 Interior With Book 1959 Orange Sunshine: Emphasis = Autumn Trees looking like they are ready for winter. There are small bits of snow on the mountains in the background and foreground. Space = yellow sky. Colour = includes all the warm, autumn colours. Pattern = Autumn trees going uphill. Shape = Spiky (Trees) Interior with book: Emphasis = The chair and the book in front of it. Space = The back walls. Colour = Cold colours including blue and green, some yellow, but mostly blue. Pattern = I think its a landscape in the background, it has a nice pattern, like hills. Similarities & Differences
